Recreational Services was nominated to enter the Westpac Auckland Business Awards. The nomination was made by a Chamber Staff Member, which is unique in itself. This indicates the level of which our efforts are being noticed and recognised.

There are various categories to enter; however, we chose to enter the Excellence in Community Contribution category, as we believed our social outcome plan and track record in what we’ve practically done, along with our organisational narrative, was a good contender for this award. The entry entailed a formal submission outlining what Recreational Services contributes to the community and the various initiatives and partnerships we have in place, like the NZ Blue Light Foundation and our strong connection with our local communities.
Following the formal submission, nominees were shortlisted as finalists and invited to attend the formal awards ceremony where winners are announced.
The award ceremony was postponed numerous times; however, we were delighted that it was able to go ahead as Recreational Services was the overall category winner! This is a testament to the work our teams do every day, and the vision of impacting our communities in a lasting way has become the RS legacy 30 years on.
