John Prunnell named Auckland Cricket Grounds Person Of The Year

Congratulations to John Prunnell from Recreational Services who has been awarded the Auckland Cricket Groundsman Award for 2015-2016 by the Auckland Cricket Association. 

The Groundsman of the year award is awarded to a club cricket groundman who has shown exceptional ability to consistently prepare Premier Grade club cricket wickets to the highest quality, has gone over and above the normal call of duty and created a great working relationship with Auckland Cricket, his local club and their members. 

The award is chosen form the pitch performance feedback recieved from Premier Grade umpires and captains over the entire season, pitch inspection reports completed by the Auckland Cricket Grounds Officer and feeback recieved from any tournaments and high performance matches during the season. 

John has been recognized for his work at The Onewa Domain and Windsor Park No1. Turf Blocks. As of recently John has relocated to the RS Whangarei Sports Fields Division as a Team Manager and is now looking after the Cobham Oval.
