Queensland Lakes District Council estimates that at capacity, the city accommodates 34 visitors for every one of its 15,450 permanent residents. This puts a lot of pressure on the Council’s public areas, and our team works hard to ensure the maintenance works are up to date and the sites kept looking their best.
Our team has responsibility for 251 hectares of parks, 11 cemeteries, 62,692 square metres of streetscapes, 1,272 linear metres of hedges, 216 toilets, four playgrounds, 850 park assets and furniture, as well as the maintenance of approximately 17,000 trees.
The scope of services we undertake for this extensive portfolio includes the mowing and edging of parks, reserves and cemeteries; amenity garden and hedge maintenance; spraying, mulching and planting; playground maintenance, inspections and repairs; parks asset maintenance and renewals; facilities maintenance, including toilets, BBQs, drinking fountains and bus stops; arboriculture (street, reserve, track and trail tree maintenance); storm remedial works; planting; stump grinding; internments (burials and ashes); and response works (reactive maintenance).
